I have taken voice lessons for over ten years from several teachers who have each had impressive experience and credentials.  It was not until I started lessons with Zoe, however, that I truly began to develop a deep understanding of how to sing.  Not only is she a phenomenal musician evident in both her singing and accompanying abilities, but she is also a profoundly effective teacher.  She is able to explain concepts in simple terms that get extremely powerful results.  I am a musician and teacher as well and have learned more from Zoe just about my own teaching that has in turn, helped my voice students improve immensely.  When I first came to Zoe, I had an extremely breathy sound, was not comfortable singing above my middle register, and had little understanding of how to sing in the different registers of my voice nor of how to make the sound consistent and even.  I have since learned how to exercise my voice which resulted in utilizing and increasing my entire range.  I am not only unafraid of high notes now, but sing them with a freedom I have never experienced in the past and have learned how to sing with a clear tone.  Lastly, and most importantly, I understand why these results were possible.  Zoe does not have her students sing exercises without making sure the student understands the purpose, which is something I never truly experienced with another teacher.  This understanding is not merely cerebral, it is also heard and felt in the body.  With Zoe the proof is in the pudding and her results are amazing.  - Marinne Dibble, Singer, Pianist, Teacher
