Choral conductors can deepen and improve their understanding of vocal function for all voice types, and learn specific vocal exercises as well as concepts of exercises to help establish a choir that is free of vocal strain. Training is given to help conductors develop in their singers increased range, flexibility, improved tone, pitch accuracy, and vocal health practices.
Further, information is given that helps conductors identify problem areas in a singer's voice and provide simple solutions as first steps in guiding the choral singer toward a healthier more productive way of singing.
Information is also given on various kinds of vocal trauma, symptoms and solutions.
Choral conductors are given tips on their own voice, both for singing, and how to effectively use their voice in choir rehearsals 1) in demonstrating phrases, sounds or ideas, 2) leading the rehearsal without impairing their own vocal cords in the process!
Sessions are given one-on-one and in workshop/seminar presentations.
